The Problem to solve
I found an opportunity in the plastic bottle waste issue in Japan. There are 5 million vending machines that are selling plastic bottles in Japan. Moreover, Japan produces 9 million tons of plastic waste including plastic bottles. They reach the ocean and animal death may occur by them. Therefore Japanese needs to know what is happening with plastic wastes and have responsibility.

Learned from the project
In the first draft, I described that problem by illustrating the mermaid couldn't go out from the bottle, however, I realized that it was not enough to explain the issue: there was a more serious issue inside the bottle by feedback. Therefore, I made inside the plastic bottle darker, and the mermaid bigger to demonstrate uncomfortable space. From those steps, I learned it was important to make it dynamic more to deliver the visual message to the audience.
